We are thrilled to announce a major milestone - Adelante Charter School’s 25th Anniversary! To celebrate, we are hosting a special event on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at The Hub in downtown Santa Barbara.
This unforgettable evening will honor Jim Kearns and the founding board of Adelante Charter School for their vision, dedication, and lasting impact. Jim has been a longtime champion of our arts programs, and his unwavering support has transformed what we offer our students. The founding board’s bold leadership 25 years ago created the foundation for what is now a thriving, award-winning public charter school - recognized as a 2025 California Distinguished School.
The anniversary celebration will be a gathering of community leaders, families, alumni, and supporters. Guests will enjoy light fare, music, and heartfelt reflections on Adelante’s legacy and future.

Sponsorship Levels:
■ $10,000 – Platinum Sponsor: 10 tickets to the event, full-page ad in program, name and logo recognition on ACS event website and promotion materials.
■ $5,000 – Gold Sponsor: 8 tickets to the event, half-page ad in the program, name and logo recognition on ACS event website and promotion materials.
■ $2,500 – Silver Sponsor: 6 tickets to the event, quarter-page ad in the program, name and logo recognition on ACS event website and promotion materials.
■ $1,000 – Bronze Sponsor: 4 tickets to the event, name and logo recognition on ACS event website, promotion materials and in the program.
■ $500 – Community Sponsor: 2 tickets to the event, name and logo recognition on ACS event website, promotion materials and in the program.

What is the event?
The 25th Anniversary Celebration of Adelante Charter School, a 2025 California Distinguished School and Santa Barbara County’s first Spanish dual-language immersion program. The event will honor the school’s founding board members and philanthropist Jim Kearns for their lasting contributions.
Who is being honored?
Adelante’s inaugural board members, who helped establish the school in 2000, and Philanthropist Jim Kearns, for his long-standing support of Adelante’s arts program.
Who will emcee the event?
Senator Monique Limón, former trustee of the Santa Barbara Unified School District and César Chávez Charter School.
Who are the event chairs?
Andy Gil and Tere Jurado.
What is the dress code?
Since this is our 25th Anniversary celebration we ask that all guest dress in cocktail attire.
Will food and drink be provided?
Yes. Guests will enjoy a hosted bar with beer and wine, along with heavy hors d’oeuvres.
Is the event open to the public?
While we would love to have everyone join us in the celebration, attendance is by invitation only.
